That is when we should see the first public release of World Wind Java.  This won’t be the “finished and ready for everyone” release mind you.  But will show how WWJ has progressed incase you have not downloaded and compiled the source yourself.

Now, the way WWJ development is progressing the core of the program won;t be open for anyone to work on and submit changes.  That is being held to just the two NASA developers.  This is because of just where WWJ will be used and code security is very important.  Developers can still download and make changes, but they will need to be reviewed first before any inclusion.  (Think of it how the Linux Kernal development is done, there is open development and closed development)

Outside of the core code, anything is fair game for development.  I’ll will post more on that as I learn it myself.
