World Wind Plug-In: MODIS Historical
Written by Chad on December 19th, 2006Here is a very useful plug-in for World Wind that withak has put together. It is the MODIS Historical plug-in if you use World Wind (and to a lesser extent, GE) you have seen this near-realtime dataset (I think it is about 1 hour from satellite to WMS server) already.
What you may not know is that the imagery goes back two years. With this plug-in you can view any day’s worth of MODIS imagery.
This plug-in can be of great use to researchers that are examining past events.
And at 7am, they is the best I can think of right now
